Any one know good quality firms to work for?

In my experience as a trader, I’ve worked in some capacity with the following firms…
www.interactivebrokers.com, www.solvayfinancial.be
www.gcitrading.com, www.finotec.com, www.odlsecurities.com
My short answer would be… ODL Securities is the most competitive employer in the field.

I have heard that a corporation managing an LLC is best and provides the most protection. I don’t know which corporate structure as I need insurance and want to fund retirement programs for myself and my wife as well. I will be trading my own account with my own money and do have someone that can be an officer in the organization with me. No shares are needed unless they benefit me in some way. Thank you for your wisdom in advance.

Unless you will be trading on behalf of others you do not require the double protection of two entities. An S-Corporation to pass the gains and losses directly to yourself would be fine and you would be shielded from liability. If you want a separate tax vehicle, a standard C-Corporation or LLC will suffice.

Unless you are an options trader or are savvy with the finance website this will be a hard question. Thx.

Good morning everyone. Okay, I’ve been trading stocks for about 3 years now and have become interested in option trading. I’ve noticed a lot of good online home study courses but just don’t know which one would do me justice. Has anybody had any success with one of these programs for a beginner option trader ?

You can pay a lot of money to a company like Investools for an option course or less money to DTITrader.com for their course, but what about for free?

Brokers like optionsxpress.com have detailed programs for free that cover options and have Virtual platforms (live data) where you can practice your trades real time. Test out what you are learning.
