Which books should I read?
Is there a mentor that can teach me?
I really want to master options trading. Help me please!

<<<Which books should I read?>>>

Start at the CBOE Learning Center at

http://www.cboe.com/LearnCenter/default.aspx

and go through their free tutorials, classes and webcasts. After that read one or two good books about options trading. If you stick with books in the bibliography at

http://www.cboe.com/Institutional/Bibliography.aspx

you will know they are good books. My favorites are are "Options as a Strategic Investment" by Lawrence McMillon and "Options Volatility & Pricing" by Sheldon Natenberg but I recommend you browse different books at a large library, a large book store, or at amazon.com to find books written is a syle that is right for you.

<<<Is there a mentor that can teach me?>>>

There are paid mentors available, such as

http://www.sheridanmentoring.com/index.cfm

but, in my opinion, they charge a lot of money to teach you what you could learn on your own from books.

You can ask questions, at no cost, on message boards such as

http://messages.yahoo.com/Business_%26_Finance/Investments/forumview?bn=4686677

where at least a couple options professionals contribute at times.

<<<I really want to master options trading. Help me please!>>>

In general I think you will find more people are more willing to help you if you make an effort to help yourself first by taking classes and reading books.

Although you really didn’t ask, the previous answers dealt with the risk associated with options trading. One of the things I find most attractive about options is that you can control the amount of risk you take. If you want to try to get rich quick, you can: Just understand that trying to get rich quick is very risky and it is easy to lose a lot of money in the attempt. On the other hand, you can reduce the risk associated with trading stocks and/or futures, although doing so will usually reduce your total return if you are a good trader.

I am a beginner with little money to pay fall tuition. I need to make money fast to pay my fees. So whats the best method to trade and make fast money. I have no knowledge abt options, but have great passion to learn in detail and trade. what will be the best way to learn

There are two excellent web sites for learning the basics of options.

http://www.cboe.com/LearnCenter/default.aspx

and

http://www.optionseducation.org/

Both are sponsered by the option industry and contain free, accurate, spamless educational material.

After getting what you can from those two sites, I recommend reading at least one good book about options. Any of the books at

http://www.cboe.com/Institutional/Bibliography.aspx

contain quality material, but will only be good for you if they are written in a style that you can follow and comprehend. My favoirtes are

McMillan, Lawrence G.: Options as a Strategic Investment, Fourth Edition. The grand-daddy of options books. The complete treatment from intermediate level to advanced.

Natenberg, Sheldon: Option Volatility and Pricing, Revised Edition, Burr Ridge, Illinois, Extensive treatment of volatility and advanced strategies as they pertain to commodity options.

I suggest you go to a large library, a large bookstore and/or amazon.com to scan multiple books and choose the ones you find most appropirate for yourself.

I will mention one other book that just came out this year, The Rookies Guide to Options by Mark Wolfinger, because the author contributes to the message board at
http://messages.yahoo.com/Business_%26_Finance/Investments/forumview?bn=4686677

under the name "dagnyt". Although I have not read any of his books, I will recommend his work based upon his contributions to that message board. (Be careful when reading that board. There is at least one individual who like to use names similar to those of regular contributers. Do not confuse "dagnyty" with "dagnyt" or "zman493" with "zman492".) In any case, it gives you a chance to ask the author questions directly if you believe that would be valuable. You can learn more about Mark Wolfinger and his books at his site

http://www.mdwoptions.com/

I would also recomend several months of paper trading before risking real money.

If you do not understand options now I recommend you find some other method for raising funds before the next school year starts.

When trading options I utilize my three trend following systems to identify buy and sell signals. I also use trend confirmation indicators such as On Balance Volume to confirm the price trend. Historical and actual profit results demonstrate that this combination of strategies produces a powerful investing force that identifies trades with the greatest profit potential.

My Option Cycle Strategy when used in conjunction with trend following takes option trading to a new level by increasing the accuracy and profitability of option trading. The Option Cycle Strategy utilizes historical price data to help select an options time length (expiration date) and strike price with up to 90%+ accuracy.

While stock selection is important for profitable option trading, in my experience selecting an options time length and strike price is just as important as selecting the stock itself!

Learn how the Option Cycle Strategy produced $1,044,065.26 in actual profits with no losing trades.

There are several "free" sources of education for options. The only problem with that is they all make it sound so easy, and the only way to know if you understand is to take the time to try the strategies. Then, if you lose, you won’t know why.

I have used a number of pay-for-education companies, including Investools, BetterTrades, and bought several books and tapes. Then I was introduced to SpreadTradeSystems. In my opinion, they are the most complete, best value for options and stock education. Yes, they charge a fee. But I have received so much more than I expected. You can go to their site www.spreadtradesystems.com and decide for yourself. If you do decide to use them, please tell them that Jake T. referred you, as they do have some incentives. Their training is at your own pace, and at your own time and place. Whatever you decide, take your time to make a decision. The tuition is for education and knowledge, and no one can take that from you.

i have just strted to trade in options. but i dont know, anything in it. i mean which contract to buy and wer to keep stop loss. i also dont know options regarding stocks. i want to learn mainly the technicals. can anybody help me ????

You can go through icididirect.com you would find your answers in the FAQ section there. But don’t trade in futures it is a very risky business.
